About Bridge Language Solutions

Bridge Language Solutions (BLS) provides smart and strategic Arabic language services to individuals, private businesses, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), law firms, hospitals, clinics, and government agencies. BLS is based in the Washington, DC area, and can provide most services from a distance, including virtual teaching. Services include translation, interpretation, and professional language instruction.

Hashem Mekki, founder of BLS, is a native Arabic speaker who has lived in the United States since 2005. Before coming to the United States, Mr. Mekki lived in Egypt and Sudan, where he worked as an Arabic-English interpreter/translator and language teacher. Currently, Mr. Mekki is an adjunct professor of Arabic language at the Institute of World Politics in Washington DC and provides Arabic language instruction to professionals at the US Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).
